Found footage from the US Federal Agency in the 50s and 60s features water as a source and referent for life, development of infrastructure, and metonymic device for expressions of techno-optimism. I reassembled imageS and sounds from dozens of public domain sources to “de-compose” these ideologies and structures of feeling. Their un-doing generates forms of vitality despite dispossession, extractivism, desertification, mass death, and climate migration.
